Handmade KC,The Market Beautiful, & Ethnic Festival Vlog
This past weekend I had a very busy day of hand crafted goods, vintage finds and ethnic eats. First trip was to the pop up shop of handmade goods from local Kansas City artist. You know me and how much I love a good bargain, so this clearance sale was right up my alley. Most of these artists we see at a lot of the great events we go to so getting to buy their items at discount was a high light. You got to also have the opportunity to see their creative process that they go through making each piece. I bought a very cute little plant pot with a shuttlecock charm hanging from it by Kate Schroeder Ceramics, a great deal grab bag over at Lost and Found by one of our favorite artists, Tara, and last a few hand towels that I've been eyeing at Tammy Smith Design. I also got to find two other amazing artists, Milkweed Baby with the cutest baby shoes, and Bloo Brush Collective with their beautiful handmade ceramics.
Next was The Market Beautiful ,which was Vintage White Market last year, had so many great finds and made goods. I really wanted my home to look like some of the booths that they had with amazing plants, great vintage items, and great decor. Jana and Vanessa are the owners of The Market Beautiful and do such a great job going State by State putting on this great big event and having so many great small local businesses come together. I got to see beautiful gem jewelry at Lily Dawson Designs, come alive with plant holders at Jive Finds, and bought some really cute pins at Anne Franklin Designs who also had some pretty great jewelry.
.
After all that shopping you can really work up an appetite for the Ethnic Enrichment Festival. I've been going almost every year since I was a little kid and always feel like it's a must. When I got to the Festival, it felt like a 100 degrees outside and at that point I had a very long day already, so I didn't stay as long as I would have liked to like in past years. I was happy with the food I got to eat but really wish I would have taken some home with me since still a week after I'm still craving their Crab Rangoon and musubi. So as always check out the video to watch my day and be sure to like and subscribe for more!
